Both of those keys should not be emply..
Have you looked in Control Panel, Power option and check for a tab that saids check here to display battery???

I do not know what else to do! I have 2 laptops and all have a box to check for Show Battery.

I ran the VBScript and it did not fix the icon on a Dell XPS M1300 laptop. The volume icon is not showing in the system tray. Running the script made no difference. Any further help would be appreciated.

I forgot to mention the Dell XPS laptop is running Windows Vista Premier edition.
